What is included

This bundle contains eight products. Evidence is assessed separately because the ingredients have different uses, study quality and safety considerations.

Evidence at a glance

Product Evidence rating Best supported use
1. Black-seed oil Limited to moderate Modest blood-pressure and lipid changes
2. Extra-virgin olive oil Strong (dietary pattern) Replacing saturated fats in a Mediterranean-style diet
3. Oregano oil Very limited Mainly laboratory antimicrobial research
4. MCT C8 oil Moderate Raising ketone availability
5. Magnesium bisglycinate Strong (deficiency) Correcting low magnesium intake or status
6. Purified shilajit Preliminary One small trial in middle-aged men
7. Vitamin D3 + K2 Strong (D deficiency) / moderate (D + K) Correcting vitamin-D deficiency; selected bone markers
8. Zinc Strong (deficiency) Correcting low zinc status

Overall bundle rating: Mixed. This rating is deliberately not an average score. Each item is judged for its own best-supported use, and the exact eight-product stack has not been clinically tested as a unit.

1. Black-seed oil (Nigella sativa)

Evidence rating: Limited to moderate for selected cardiometabolic markers. Meta-analyses of small trials report modest changes in blood pressure and blood lipids, but results vary by preparation, dose and population. It is not a proven treatment for disease.

Safety: May affect blood sugar, blood pressure and clotting. Check with a clinician if using medicines for these conditions.

2023 meta-analysis: blood pressure · Meta-analysis: blood lipids

2. Extra-virgin olive oil

Evidence rating: Strong as part of a Mediterranean dietary pattern; exact bottle not clinically tested. In PREDIMED, a Mediterranean diet supplemented with extra-virgin olive oil was associated with fewer major cardiovascular events than the control diet in adults at high cardiovascular risk. This evidence applies to the dietary pattern and intervention, not specifically to this supplier bottle. More oil is not automatically better because it remains energy-dense.

PREDIMED trial

3. Oregano oil

Evidence rating: Very limited for oral health benefits. Oregano and carvacrol show antimicrobial activity mainly in laboratory research. Human evidence for broad immune, digestive or infection claims is insufficient.

Safety: Concentrated oregano oil may irritate the digestive tract and can interact with medicines. Follow the exact label dose; it should not replace treatment for an infection.

Research overview

4. MCT C8 oil

Evidence rating: Moderate for increasing ketone availability; limited and context-dependent for weight loss or general performance. C8 MCT is rapidly metabolised and can raise ketone availability. A controlled weight-loss study found greater weight/fat-mass loss with MCT oil than olive oil within a structured diet, but that does not establish a general advantage for everyone or prove that combining MCT with olive oil is synergistic.

MCT vs olive-oil trial

Safety: Begin with a small serving because larger amounts commonly cause nausea, cramps or diarrhoea. It also adds dietary calories.

5. Magnesium bisglycinate

Evidence rating: Strong for correcting inadequate magnesium status; outcome-specific otherwise. Magnesium is essential for normal muscle, nerve and enzyme function. Benefits from supplementation are most predictable when intake or status is low; the bisglycinate form itself is not proven superior for every outcome. Magnesium also participates in vitamin-D metabolism, which creates one of the better-supported crossovers inside this bundle.

Safety: Supplemental magnesium can cause diarrhoea and can interfere with absorption of some antibiotics and osteoporosis medicines. Kidney disease requires professional guidance.

6. Purified shilajit

Evidence rating: Preliminary. A small randomised trial reported hormonal changes in middle-aged men using a specific purified preparation, but this is not proof of broad energy, testosterone or performance benefits from every shilajit product.

Safety: Product purity is crucial. Use only material with credible contaminant and heavy-metal testing; evidence remains too limited for strong claims.

7. Vitamin D3 + K2

Evidence rating: Strong for vitamin-D deficiency correction; moderate and population-specific for the D + K combination. Vitamin D supports calcium metabolism and bone health. A meta-analysis suggests combined vitamins D and K can improve some bone markers, particularly in studied at-risk groups, but it does not show that everyone needs both supplements.

Safety: Confirm the dose before use and avoid combining with other high-dose vitamin D products. Vitamin K can interfere with warfarin and similar anticoagulants.

8. Zinc

Evidence rating: Strong for correcting zinc deficiency; limited for routine use when zinc status is adequate. Zinc supports normal immune function and many enzymes. Taking more than needed does not continuously improve immunity or performance.

Safety: Excessive long-term intake can cause nausea and copper deficiency and can interact with some antibiotics.

Do the products work better together?

Evidence rating for the exact bundle: Not established. No human clinical trial was found testing this exact eight-product combination. We therefore separate direct combination evidence from plausible biological or practical pairings.

Pair/group What human evidence says Conclusion
Magnesium + vitamin D A 12-week randomized trial found a greater rise in serum 25-OH-vitamin-D with magnesium + vitamin D than vitamin D alone in overweight/obese adults; another randomized trial did not find added benefit for bone-turnover or glycemic outcomes. Real interaction signal, outcome-specific; not universal synergy.
Vitamin D3 + K2 Human combination studies exist for selected bone outcomes and markers, but results are population- and outcome-dependent. Combination evidence exists, but should not be generalized.
Magnesium + zinc + vitamin D A small randomized study used magnesium, zinc, calcium and vitamin D together in women with PCOS. Too population/formulation-specific to validate this bundle.
Vitamin D + a fat-containing meal Vitamin D is fat-soluble and NIH notes that concurrent dietary fat enhances absorption. Practical pairing supported; not evidence that a particular oil makes the bundle clinically superior.
MCT + olive oil A controlled trial compared MCT oil against olive oil rather than combining them. No demonstrated synergy from that trial.
Black-seed oil + olive/MCT/oregano/shilajit No reliable human trial was identified testing these specific bundle combinations for superior outcomes. Synergy not established.
  • Vitamin D3 + K2: Combination studies suggest possible advantages for selected bone outcomes, mainly in specific populations; this cannot be generalized to every customer.
  • Magnesium + vitamin D: Randomised studies are mixed. Some report benefits for particular outcomes or deficient groups, while another found no improvement in bone-turnover or glycaemic markers. This is not evidence of a universal synergy.
  • Magnesium + zinc + vitamin D: A small trial studied these nutrients together with calcium in women with PCOS. Its results do not establish benefits for healthy adults or validate this bundle.
  • The four oils and shilajit: No reliable human evidence was found showing that combining them with the micronutrients produces a better result than using only an individually needed product.

Crossovers: how the items interact

Beyond whether they "work better together", some items affect each other in practical ways. Use these points to get more from what you take and avoid overlaps.

Helpful crossovers

  • Vitamin D3 + K2 with olive or black-seed oil: Vitamins D and K are fat-soluble and are absorbed better when taken with a meal containing some fat. Taking them alongside food prepared with the olive oil is a sensible, low-cost pairing. Evidence: moderate for vitamin D absorption with dietary fat.
  • Magnesium + vitamin D: Magnesium is needed for the body to process vitamin D, so low magnesium can blunt its effect. This matters most for people with low magnesium status. Evidence: established biology; mixed trial results for outcomes.
  • Olive oil + MCT C8 oil: MCT oil can be mixed into food alongside olive oil, which can make it easier to tolerate than taking it on its own. Evidence: practical guidance, not a studied synergy.

Crossovers to watch

  • Zinc and magnesium: Very high zinc intakes can reduce magnesium absorption. At normal label doses this is unlikely to matter, but do not add extra zinc from other products. NIH fact sheet
  • Black-seed oil + vitamin K2 (anticoagulants): Black-seed oil may affect clotting, and vitamin K interferes with warfarin. Anyone on blood thinners should talk to a clinician before using either.
  • Black-seed oil + blood-sugar or blood-pressure medicines: Black-seed oil may lower both, which could add to the effect of medication.
  • MCT C8 + oregano oil: Both commonly upset the stomach. Introduce them on different days, at low doses, rather than together.
  • Black-seed, olive and MCT oil combined: Together they add a noticeable amount of calories. Use them in place of other fats, not in addition to them.

Crossovers with other products in our store

  • Styrian pumpkin-seed oil (limited evidence): another culinary oil from the same range. If you add it, count it towards your total oil intake.
  • Creatine monohydrate (strong evidence): a good match if you train. It does not overlap with any bundle ingredient.
  • Psyllium husk (strong evidence for specific uses): fibre can reduce absorption of some supplements and medicines. Take it at least 2 hours apart from the magnesium, zinc and vitamin D3 + K2.

Before using the full stack

Check every label for exact serving sizes and avoid duplicating vitamin D, vitamin K, magnesium or zinc from other supplements. People who are pregnant, have kidney or liver disease, take anticoagulants, blood-pressure or diabetes medicines, or use prescription treatment should ask a qualified clinician or pharmacist before taking the full combination.
